Gilmanton Winery

Our farm sits on a beautiful piece of land; just under 9 acres.

The month of April finds Marshall  pruning all of our 700 or so grapevines.

Come June it's time to do the regular upkeep of the vines which includes putting up morewire, repairing the wire and fence posts, and making sure the irrigation system works. Bythe time July comes around its time to do pest control. By late August we're checking thesugar content to see if how close it is harvest time. Towards the end of September is usually when weharvest the grapes. That's a very busy day! Come November we have to slow down a bitsince it's getting colder outside but we're busy inside keeping an eye on the wine. Throughout this year we're also hosting brunches, dinners, weddings, bus tours as well as privatelyhosted parties. We love what we do and we're happy that it has become our full time occupation.Grace Metalious wrote the famous controversial novel Peyton Place. She lived in the housethat is now The Gilmanton Winery.

SQUAM BREWING

The Squam Brewery is a small, three barrel nano brewery operated out of a barn in Holderness, NH. We brew in a 145 gallon Stout kettle which we've retrofitted with three 6000 watt electric heating elements.  Our beers are fermented in several Stout conicals. Starting in August of 2010 we began selling our beer in 22 ounce bottles to stores in the Lakes Region.

WOODMAN”S BREWERY

It all started with the simple idea to do something you enjoy, with the people you love, to be creative, and to share that with our community, friends, and family.

Woodman's Brewery was created in our home kitchen, in a 5 gallon homebrew kit a number of years ago. The idea that was being tossed around in the back of our minds since that first questionable batch, all of a sudden grew fast with every new piece of equipment purchased and tasty brews developed. We had an opportunity to turn the cottage on our property to a brewery, and we thought.. it's now or never. So we went for it! We've been working hard on the construction side of things for over a year now. Our friends and family helped make it happen, helping to rip up floors, smash walls, raise walls, paint, and lug equipment around.

We enjoy creating new recipes and incorporating local ingredients whenever possible. Our goal is to have 5 beers on tap to start (but we may not be able to wait that long!), one being a seasonal or specialty. We are inspired by where we live, and find it fun to experiment with local ingredients such as fresh fruits, maple syrup, and honey

THE DAM BREWHOUSE

A  community brewer in the heart of the community.  Before prohibition, every community had a small brewery, a "Public House" where people would gather.  Friends would meet, Ideas shared, and good times were enjoyed.

Dam Brewhouse owners Sarah Dreshaj, and John Anderson have opened just such a place in Campton's Upper Village.   Listed as a "beverage manufacturer" by the state of New Hampshire, John and Sarah keep 8 of their beers rotating through their taps.  Most of which are gluten reduced, all of which are extremely drinkable.  Sarah and John's hope is to bring community together.  There small tasting room and beer garden is a perfect place to meet an old friend, or some new ones.  Surprising connections happen all the time over a pint.  Pick up the house guitar and share a song or two.  When you enter the Dam Brewhouse you are family.

John and Sarah's hope is to "Make the beers you want to drink"  and they are always changing the beers that they have on tap.  With three staple brews, Dam Delight, a light lager, Mud Puddle a dry Irish stout, and Fruit Basket, a New England style IPA always on tap.   You can find rotating through their other 5 taps some interesting beers like Peanut Butter Cup, and Limesicle, and some great classic styles like their Pilsner and English Brown Ale.   In the first 10 months of business they have created 50 different brews, many by request of the Dam Brewhouse family.

Meet a friend for a pint, and enjoy a place where people are more important than their devices and where the conversation is at least as good as the beer.
